The Adirondack Review
In the Margins

B-list babes
are Docker'd moms who flirt
at 4th -of- July picnics after a zinfandel
and a half
       and raise passels of  kids
I imagine my own wouldn't hate
if drama paid a visit
                   and a new family
were in order.

A-list babes
wear black; arty sluts
I should have married
and hated hard, ever hard,

       but never did,

and as a dad who's just plain tired,
ould never marry now.  X-list babes

mother saints (or thugs)
like mother Mary (in a thong), write

my name
(during slutty moments)
in their sacred margins.
