In this collaborative poetry/illustration project, "You Totally Talk With Your Hands," we hope to follow the divining line wherever it leads: unexpected groundwater, a dead end, nowhere at all. As an illustrator & writer team, we are not interested in decoding patterns or calibrating along an X/Y axis, but rather, to be fully present in the moment of creation. No obvious edge of the diving board. No “You Are Here” circle on the map. Mixing our mediums, we hope to discover narrative possibilities that emerge when we turn out the lights, spin around twice, & feel our way out. Or in.
